Jackson Loan Deal Sparks Vegas Show Rumours
Rumours about a possible MICHAEL JACKSON Las Vegas spectacular have hit fever pitch after revelations the loan on the pop superstar's Neverland Ranch home has been bought by a Sin City heavyweight.
Jackson prevented a foreclosure sale on his sprawling Santa Barbara ranch earlier this month (May08) when New York-based private equity group Colony Capital agreed to take over his debt on the property.
But Michael Politz, the editor of website TheVegasEye.com, suggests there may be more to the deal than meets the eye, after revealing Colony Capital's founder, Tom Barrack Jr., also owns the Las Vegas Hilton.
Vegas insider Politz says, "Connect the dots... An affiliate of the company that owns the Hilton agreed to hold the $23.5 million loan it acquired from Fortress Investment Group while it negotiates payment terms (with Jackson).
"And Jackson confirmed he is in discussions with Colony and its founder, Tom Barrack Jr., with regard to the ranch and other matters. I wonder what they're negotiating about. Could it be a show?
"Are we correct in saying that Michael Jackson will sing and dance in the showroom of his former father-in-law, Elvis Presley?"

Former top model found dead in Paris
Known simply as Katoucha, the former top model for Yves Saint Laurent and other renowned designers was found on Thursday near the Garigliano bridge in Paris.
According to police an autopsy showed no signs of foul play, pointing to the possibility that the 47-year-old may have fallen into the river accidentally.
She had been missing since January and was last seen returning home from a party.
She lived in a houseboat near Paris' Alexandre III bridge, and her handbag was later found on board the boat.
The Guinean-born model told The Associated Press in 1994 that she ran away to Europe at 17 aiming to be a model. Her big break came when a designer at Lanvin spotted her in a line-up.
After quitting the catwalk, she turned to speaking out actively against female circumcision, describing her own experience at age 9-years-old in a book, 'Katoucha, In My Flesh', which was published last year.
"I will never get the incomparable pain out of my head": she wrote in the book, which she dedicated to her three children.
Vanity Fair's fashion and style director, Michael Roberts, said Katoucha was: "One those girls who used her fame to spotlight the misfortunes of others."
In the months before her death, Katoucha took on her first film role, playing a beautiful and rebellious woman, said Leandre-Alain Baker, director of 'Ramata'.
Filming is complete but a release date has not yet been set.
American Idol stars Cook & Caldwell dating
During an interview on the show 'Idol Tonight' last Wednesday, Cook said to Caldwell: "I'm just excited because I finally get to talk to you."
"I've been hearing you say all these nice things about me all season, So I'm actually going to ask you to dinner right now."
Caldwell hugged him and agreed to go out with him, later saying on camera: "I just got asked out on a date".
Speaking to 'Extra' later, Cook said: "So far, I've had a really good time with her."
Referring to her stint on 'American Idol', he said: "I knew who she was, but I can't remember a song that she sang. I'm probably in the dog house now."
Jessica Alba Planning Second Wedding
The pregnant actress’s brother Josh was left flabbergasted when he found out about his sister’s shotgun union in Beverly Hills.
Even the Fantastic Four star's father, Mark Alba, was unaware of the quick ceremony, but he insists he is happy for his newlywed daughter.
He tells Latina magazine: "I think it's good news for her. I'm glad for her. She's a beautiful girl. I'm her dad and I'm happy for her no matter what happens."
However, Josh later explained to E! News that he was only surprised at the rash wedding because he knows "they are going to do a big ceremony later".
He added, "I just don't know any of the details yet."
The couple announced their engagement in December, shortly after Alba revealed she was pregnant.
